Week 7 - Make A Switch - The Finish Line! - February 19, 2018

Hello everyone and welcome to week 7’s recap of 2018’s my diet starts Monday. If you are just joining us, it could not be a better time. You are tuning in to the finals, the back nine on Sunday, the home stretch, and down the stretch they come. Yes, this is where you see the finish, the photo finish if you will. So, can you lose 40 pounds in 60 days? Sure, you can. When you make a switch. And that switch is going from sugar burner to fat burner.  Switching the primary fuel your body uses for energy from sugar over to fat.  Boom! If nobody has told you, I’m telling you now.

Now I give it up for those that go thru a program and post their before and after pictures after they have finished and gotten the results they wanted. Clap, nice job! But to come out at the beginning and tell what you are going to, then invite people along for the journey, and then post your progress real time, weekly, every step of the way for everyone to see, not knowing what was going to happen. That is a pretty big Mazza ball hanging out there.

But I knew it was the only way to do it. I had to go hair club for men. “Me too Sy, I’m not only the president, I’m also a client.” Hey, I did it to let people know, straight up, the things I recommend for others are the things I recommend for myself and my family. I don’t recommend to anyone to do anything different that I would do myself if I were in their position.

Here’s what I don’t recommend. Most people think it’s just about calories. They think it is some sort of numbers equation you can map out on a chart and calculate how many pounds you are going to lose each week thru reduced calories, exercise and some calories in vs calories out equation. 500 calories a day is a pound a week! Hahahaha! Ooh! All aboard the frustration train, because it is leaving the station. And if you have already taken that trip, you know exactly what I’m talking about. It’s much more about chemistry. Now, am I sure about that? Sure enough to literally walk you thru the process from day 1. Uh, yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s chemistry over calories. Come on man, let’s see the stats!

Blood sugar, I check each and every week, Monday morning. Lab ranges are 80-100, 80-90 I like much better. I started out at 95, and for 6 week, measured in the 70. This week coming in at a low 80, 83. Awesome consistent numbers. So grateful for that, can’t even begin to tell you.

Ketones, I check at the same time. 1.5-3.0 is a good strong level confirming your body is in fat burning mode. I started out at .2 and for 7 straight weeks have measured elevated ketone levels confirming my chemistry is right on point. This week coming in at 1.2. It’s the first time I’ve registered a 1 since week 2. It’s lower than what I normally trend, but it’s okay, cause it’s a range.   

Now let’s take a look at my weight loss chart. January, I dropped from 271 down to 240, 31 pounds in 31 days. And for February, I dropped another 11 pounds in 19 days, for a total of 42 pounds in 49 days. 12, 5,6,5,7,3 and 4 last week. Celebrate good times, come on!

As far as exercise, I ran just three times last week, Mon, Tue, Wed. So, what does 42 pounds look like? Let’s take a look! Picture #1 form the front. Picture #2 from the side. And picture #3 from the back

I'm giving the cool change photo to my face. Man, get a load of that gobble, gobble chin before. Thankful that is gone. Just didn’t like the way I looked and felt. Now, I love the way my clothes fit, the way I look, and the way my body performs. For me people. I did it for me.

Now, it you are the person that thinks if you take weight off quickly, it just comes back. That’s fine. Lose it slower. I don’t care. Just make a switch. Here’ the thing. It doesn’t matter who you are, If you go back to eating the way you did to get fat in the first place, you’re going to gain the weight back no matter how you took it off. If I took 89 days or 129 instead of 49, I’m not immune to re-gaining the weight just because it happened slowly. Come on, man!

Now what makes a good weight loss program a great weight loss program? Or in the case of make a switch, what makes a great weight loss program a straight up rockin’ program! It’s not just in the weight loss, it’s in the maintaining of that weight loss! So, what now? In not just losing weight, but also in maintaining weight, you still need to know the 3 most important questions. What do I eat? When do I eat? And how much do I eat... yes... The trifecta!

I'll show you not only how I transition off the Make a Switch program successfully, I’ll show you the other programs I enjoy, that address other aspects of health. How to do a good and proper cleanse, how to heal up digestion, balance hormones, the foundation for any exercise program, and yes, improve posture.  This first 60 days is just the beginning. 2018 is the year. I got goals people, join me cause it’s gonna be fun. Just remember when it comes to weight loss, it is chemistry over calories. And it’s better to be in alignment than out of alignment every single time. We will see you at the next post, next week.
